    Alfred Owens Scholarship Fund

    The Alfred Owens Scholarship Fund provides financial support for African American seniors at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Senior class status during the academic year award is received

    2. African American student

    3. Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better

    4. Enrolled on at least a half-time basis




    Alumni Class '37

    The Class of 1937 Scholarship Fund serves to award financial support to outstanding and gifted students. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Minimum high school or college GPA of 3.0

    2. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1000.



    Arthur M. Gignilliat, Sr., Scholarship Fund

    The Arthur M. Gignilliat Sr. Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to outstanding and gifted students. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. 3.0 college or high school GPA.

    2. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1000.



    ASU Alumni Scholarship 301

    The ASU Alumni Scholarship 301 serves to award scholarships to deserving nontraditional students. Applicants  must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must have been admitted to Armstrong State University under regular admission.

    2. Did not immediately attend college following high school graduation or had an interruption in their academic career.




    ASU Alumni Scholarship 302

    The ASU Alumni Scholarship 302 serves to award scholarships to deserving nontraditional students. Applicants  must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Must have been admitted to Armstrong State University under regular admission.

    2. Did not immediately attend college following high school graduation or had an interruption in their academic career.



    Bank of America Scholarship

    The Bank of America Scholarship Fund is used to provide support for the university's general scholarship fund. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Barbara Greener Masquers Award

    The Barbara Greener Masquers Award fund was established in order to allow the ASU Masquers to award scholarships or for productions, faculty and/or student development, conferences, guest actors, facilities, and equipment.


    Beatrice and Bert Liles Scholarship Fund (Art)

    The Beatrice and Bert Liles Scholarship Fund provides financial support to qualified students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be a junior or senior majoring in art or music.

    2. Have financial need.

    3. Demonstrate good scholarship potential and/or ability.




    Beatrice and Bert Liles Scholarship Fund (Math/Science)

    The Beatrice and Bert Liles Scholarship Fund provides financial support to qualified students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be a female junior or senior majoring in math or science.

    2. Have financial need.

    3. Demonstrate good scholarship potential and/or ability.




    Belk Stores Scholarship

    The Belk Stores Scholarship Fund provides support to the university’s general scholarship program. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.




    Bernadette T. Mesi Memorial Scholarship in Nursing

    The Bernadette T. Mesi Memorial Scholarship in Nursing Fund provides financial assistance for students pursing a Master’s of Science in Nursing at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Resident of Georgia.

    2. Admitted MSN student who meets all criteria for continuing in the program without any contingencies.

    3. Has a nursing work history that supports a potential for success in the program.  

    4. May be either a full-time or part-time student.

    5. Must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours of coursework each semester awarded the scholarship.

    6. Priority given to students receiving no additional financial aid or scholarships and of Catholic religion.




    Bhatia Foundation Mathematics Scholarship

    The Bhatia Foundation Mathematics Scholarship Fund serves to provide support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University and have declared a major within the College of Education with a desire to teach mathematics in the classroom. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a degree seeking student enrolled fulltime in the College of Education majoring in Mathematics.

    2. Have a minimum GPA of 3.5.

    3. Junior or senior class standing.




    Bhatia Foundation Scholarship (Computer Science)

    The Bhatia Foundation Scholarship provides financial support for international students enrolled in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology at Armstrong State University. Applicants  must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Must be enrolled in the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology  at Armstrong State University.

    2. Must be classified as an international student by the university.

    3. Must be a graduate student.



    Bhatia Foundation Scholarship in Nursing

    The Bhatia Foundation Nursing Scholarship provides financial support for two students enrolled in the College of Health Professions and seeking a degree in nursing. One recipient must be a resident of Chatham County and one recipient must be a resident of Bryan County. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Must be enrolled in the nursing program at Armstrong State University.

    2. Must be a resident of Chatham (1 recipient) or Bryan County (1 recipient).

    3. Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.0.



    Bhatia Foundation Science Scholarship Fund

    The Bhatia Foundation Science Scholarship Fund serves to provide support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University and have declared a major within the College of Education with a desire to teach science in the classroom.     Bonnie & James Heaston Scholarship

    The Bonnie & James Heaston Scholarship Fund awards scholarships to students that are entering Armstrong State University as freshmen. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Have a high school GPA of 3.25 or higher.

    2. Combined SAT score of 1000 or an ACT composite score of 21 or higher.

    3. Have financial need.




    Business Office - A. Rosenzweig Scholarship Fund

    The A. Rosenzweig Scholarship Fund provides funds for scholarships to be awarded to students attending Armstrong State University.


    Business Office - Bodziner Trust Fund

    The Philip H. Bodziner Memorial Trust provides scholarships to students attending Armstrong State University who have unmet financial need.


    Business Office - Burnett Scholarship Trust Fund

    The Burnett Scholarship Trust Fund provides scholarships to students enrolled in the Engineering Studies Program at Armstrong State University.


    Business Office - Dr. David Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund

    The Dr. David Robinson Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarships for students enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
     

    1. Must be in a pre-medicine program.

    2. Must be within fifty-five (55) credit hours of graduation.




    Business Office - Eleanor Webster Boyd (Admissions)

    The Eleanor Webster Boyd Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to female students enrolled at Armstrong State University with verified unmet financial need. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Business Office - Eleanor Webster Boyd (Subcomm 3)

    The Eleanor Webster Boyd Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to female students enrolled at Armstrong State University with verified unmet financial need. Recipients are selected by the University Scholarship Committee.


    Business Office - Jennie V. Remley Memorial Fund

    The Jennie V. Remley Memorial Fund provides scholarships to students enrolled at Armstrong State University who have completed all of the hours required for graduation except sixty (60).


    Business Office - Lundquist Trust

    The Dr. Wilbur Lundquist Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to health science students attending Armstrong State University.


    Business Office - Ross L. Clark Scholarship

    The Ross L. Clark Scholarship provides scholarships to students studying political science at Armstrong State University.


    Business Office - Savannah Foods and Industries Engineering Scholarship

    The Savannah Foods & Industries Engineering Scholarship provides scholarships to pre-engineering students at Armstrong State University. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Camden County Deputy Sheriff's Memorial

    The Camden County Deputy Sheriff's Memorial Scholarship Fund provides support for needy, at risk students who are seeking a degree in any field of study, preferably related to law enforcement or criminal justice. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Recipient would have to be considered at risk, which in the case of a youth is defined as being from a single parent home OR  living with persons other than the natural parent OR financially needy.

    2. Recipient must agree to work in a law enforcement or criminal justice post for a period of time equal to the length of the award.

    3. The recipient must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50.



    Caroline Christian Marshall

    The Caroline Christian Marshall Endowed Scholarship Fund provides scholarships who are enrolled in the Honors Program at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be enrolled in the Honors Program, or as high school students must apply to the Honors Program.

    2. Have a 3.2 high school or college GPA.

    3. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1100.




    Cathryn Barnett Shriver Presidential Scholarship

    The Cathryn Barnett Shriver Presidential Scholarship provides support to nontraditional nursing students who are enrolled in the nursing program at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Be a senior enrolled in the nursing program and taking courses exclusively within the nursing curriculum.

    2. Be a nontraditional student.

    3. Demonstrate academic excellence and financial need.




    Charles & Jo. Elliott Jones Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship

    The Charles & Jo. Elliot Jones Visual and Performing Arts Scholarship provides financial support to students enrolled at Armstrong State University in the Art, Music, and Theater Department (AMT). Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Enrolled as  a full-time visual and performing arts major after the freshmen year with a demonstrated high aptitude in his or her discipline.

    2. Actively involved in AMT activities.

    3. Overall artistic merit will be considered as a factor in determining the scholarship recipient.



    Charles Lee Stewart, III Memorial Scholarship

    The Charles Lee Stewart, III Memorial Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University and interested in the study of engineering. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Have a high school or college GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale based on academic core classes.

    2. Be a resident of Chatham County

    3. Be interested in pursuing a course of study in engineering.




    Chatham Artillery Scholarship Endowment

    The Chatham Artillery Memorial Scholarship provides support to students who are currently serving or have served in the Georgia Army National Guard or dependents of those who are currently serving or have served in the Georgia Army National Guard. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Must be in good academic standing.

    2. May be enrolled full-time or part-time.

    3. Priority will be given to students currently serving in the Georgia Army National Guard followed by students who formerly served in the Georgia Army National Guard followed by dependents of those who are currently serving or have served in the Georgia Army National Guard.



    Cindy McCormick Memorial Scholarship

    The Cindy McCormick Memorial Scholarship serves to provide scholarships for re-entry / non-traditional students from the greater Savannah area; students who may not have access to scholarships designed for traditional students.  


    Class '37 Scholarship

    The Class of 1937 Scholarship Fund provides financial support to outstanding and gifted students at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Have a 3.0 high school or college GPA.

    2. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1000.




    Col. Charles L. and Mary G. Collins ROTC Leadership Scholarship

    The Col. Charles L. and Mary G. Collins ROTC Leadership Scholarship provides support to ROTC cadets participating in the simultaneous membership program (SMP). Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 or greater on a 4.00 scale.

    2. Maintain an ROTC GPA of 3.00 or greater.

    3. Be able to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test.

    4. Meet height and weight standards (as per Army Regulation 600-9).

    5. Meet Department of the Army qualifications to enroll in the ROTC Advanced Program (as per Army regulation 145-1).

    6. Be 31 years of age or less during the calendar year of commissioning or have received an age waiver from the Department of the Army.

    7. Be a United States citizen.

    8. Maintain full-time student status as either an undergraduate or graduate student.



    Compass Honors Leadership Scholarship

    The Compass Point Honors Leadership Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University and admitted, or eligible to be admitted, to the Honors Program. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Enrolled in the Honors Program at Armstrong State University OR as high school students, must be approved for admission into the Honors Program.

    2. Minimum high school or college GPA of 3.5.

    3. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1200.

    4. The recipient of this scholarship must participate in the Nick Mamalakis Emerging Leadership Program during his or her freshmen year.



    Cynthia Howard Scholarship

    The Cynthia Howard Scholarship serves to award scholarships to Armstrong undergraduate students who are majoring in Respiratory Therapy. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

    2. Have an interest in performing academic research.

    3. Have demonstrated publication and/or the performance of public service with a focus on the pathophysiology of the heart and lung due to autoimmune disorders, and pulmonary interstitial fibrosis of the respiratory system.




    D. Boston & Ella C. Morgan Scholarship

    The David Boston and Ella Courtenay Morgan Endowed Scholarship Fund provides financial support for deserving students attending Armstrong State University’s School of Nursing.




    Daniel Harris Memorial Scholarship

    The Daniel Harris Memorial Scholarship provides support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University that are majoring in music.


    Dixie Crystal Scholarship

    The Dixie Crystals Scholarship Fund provides financial support for outstanding and gifted students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Have financial need.

    2. Good scholarship potential and/or ability.

    3. First preferences given to students majoring in computer science and/or in education, and then to any qualified student(s) regardless of major.




    Donna R. Brooks Endowment

    The Donna R. Brooks Endowment provides scholarship funds for students who are enrolled full-time in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must have graduated from a public high school within one of the following counties of Georgia: Chatham; Effingham; Bryan; Liberty; Tattnall; Toombs.

    2. Must have a GPA of at least 3.0.

    3. Must have enough unmet financial need to receive the full scholarship amount.

    4. Must not have previously received this scholarship.

    5. Must be an undergraduate full-time student majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders and will be a senior at the beginning of the academic year of the award. If there is not a qualified undergraduate senior, a 2nd year graduate student majoring in Communication Sciences and Disorders may be selected.




    Dorothy Murray Fund for Excellence in Music

    The Dorothy Murray Fund for Excellence in Music provides financial support to students majoring in music at Armstrong State University. Preference given to a pianist. 


    Dr. Henry and Ann Brandt Family Scholarship

    The Dr. Henry and Ann Brandt Family Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University and are preparing to attend medical school. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be a junior or senior enrolled at Armstrong State University.

    2. Be a resident of the state of Georgia or South Carolina.

    3. Have a college GPA of 3.0 based on academic core courses.

    4. Be a student that plans to attend medical school.

    .


    Dr. Martha B. Fay Scholarship

    The Dr. Martha B. Fay Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled in Armstrong State University’s College of Science and Technology in the departments of Biology and Chemistry. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a junior or senior enrolled at Armstrong State University.

    2. Have a GPA of 3.0 based on academic core classes.




    Dr. Sharyn D. Gibson Memorial Scholarship

    The Dr. Sharyn D. Gibson Memorial Scholarship provides support to students at Armstrong State University studying in the Department of Radiologic Sciences.  Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Demonstrate financial need.

    2. Be a student in good standing.

    3. Must be a rising senior in the Department of Radiologic Sciences.




    Elizabeth Solano Weeks Scholarship

    The Elizabeth Solana Weeks ‘40 Memorial Scholarship Fund serves to provide support for students who wish to attend Armstrong State University. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be enrolled at Armstrong State University, or as high school students, must be approved for admission to ASU.

    2. Preference will be given to students pursuing a degree in the liberal arts.




    Exchangette Scholarship Fund

    The Exchangette Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to students enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a female student enrolled at Armstrong State University.

    2. Have earned at least 60 credit hours at time of award (Junior or Senior Standing).

    3. Minimum GPA of 2.0.  




    Garden Club Council of Chatham County

    The Garden Club Council of Chatham County Scholarship provides support for deserving students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences

    2. Be pursuing a course of study in subjects relating to botany, horticulture, landscaping, or fine arts.




    Gary and Barbara Dorminey Scholarship

    The Gary and Barbara Dorminey Scholarship Fund provides financial support to deserving students at Armstrong State University majoring in chemistry. Priority will be given to those who are married and working full time.


    Goizueta Foundation Scholarship

    The Goizueta Foundation Scholarship serves to provide need-based scholarship assistance annually to Hispanic/Latino students whose families currently reside in the United States. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Hispanic/Latino student whose family currently resides in the United States.

    2. Financial Need



    Hazelle B. Tuthill American History Endowment

    The Hazelle B. Tuthill American History Endowment provides support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be pursuing a degree in History with a concentration in American History.

    2. Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.




    Huntingdon Woman's Guild

    The Huntingdon Women’s Guild Scholarship provides support for female students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a female.

    2. Must be a resident of the state of Georgia.

    3. Enrolled for at least 9 credit hours of class.

    4. Merit and financial aid are to be of equal consideration.




    Irene Etheridge Memorial Scholarship

    The Irene Etheridge Memorial Nursing Scholarship provides support for juniors and seniors who are enrolled in the nursing program at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be a junior or senior enrolled in the nursing program.

    2. Be a Christian female.

    3. Be employed at least 14 hours per week.

    4. Demonstrate financial need.




    J. Harry Persse Scholarship

    The J. Harry Persse Scholarship provides support for music scholarships and supports the annual J. Harry Persse Memorial Concert. Recipients are chosen by the Music Faculty at Armstrong State University.


    James Land Jones Memorial Endowment

    The James Land Jones Memorial Endowment provides support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a junior or senior.

    2. Must be an English major.




    Jennifer McLaughlin Scholarship

    The Jennifer McLaughlin Scholarship awards scholarships to Armstrong undergraduate or graduate students who are health care majors within the College of Health Professions. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Demonstrate excellence in advocating for or assisting a patient through a challenging health care experience.

    2. Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.




    Jill Miller Scholarship Fund

    The Jill Miller Scholarship provides support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University who are majoring in art, or who are participants in the Honors Program, and who wish to study abroad. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Be enrolled as an art major OR in the Honors Program at Armstrong State University.



    Jose' de Arimate'ia da Cruz Scholarship

    The José de Arimatéia da Cruz Scholarship provides scholarships to students of political science at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a full-time undergraduate student majoring in Political Science.

    2. Exhibit characteristics of leadership.

    3. Must have at least 70 semester earned hours of undergraduate coursework

    4. Have an overall GPA of 3.00.

    5. Have completed at least one year of foreign language coursework with a grade of “B” or better.




    Joseph A. and Marilyn M. Buck Leadership Endowment (COE)

    The Joseph A. and Marilyn M. Buck Leadership Scholarship Fund provides support to deserving students at Armstrong State University who are of exemplary character and have exhibited leadership qualities in the past or potential for leadership in the future. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Declared major within  the College of Education.

    2. Enrolled on a full-time basis.

    3. Have a minimum  cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of the award.



    Joseph A. and Marilyn M. Buck Leadership Endowment (COHP)

    The Joseph A. and Marilyn M. Buck Leadership Scholarship Fund provides support to deserving students at Armstrong State University who are of exemplary character and have exhibited leadership qualities in the past or potential for leadership in the future. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Declared major within  the College of Health Professions.

    2. Enrolled on a full time basis.

    3. Have a minimum  cumulative GPA of 3.0 at the time of the award



    Judge Grady & Sara Dickey Scholarship

    The Judge Grady & Sara Dickey Scholarship is used to provide financial support to outstanding and gifted students. Applicants  must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Have an anticipated or declared major in a field of government such as pre-law, political science, or criminal justice.

    2. Minimum high school or college GPA of 3.0

    3. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1000.




    Jule Rossiter Stanfield Scholarship Fund

    The Jule Rossiter Stanfield Scholarship is used to provide financial support to outstanding and gifted students. Applicants  must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Have been admitted to Armstrong State University under regular admissions or currently be attending the university.

    2. Minimum high school or college GPA of 3.0

    3. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1000.



    Julie Backus Smith Scholarship

    The Julie Backus Smith Memorial Scholarship provides support for upper-level students who are enrolled in the nursing program at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. A full-time student, in good standing, in the ASU nursing program.

    2. Have junior or senior status

    3. Be academically eligible for the Hope Scholarship (or equivalent academic criteria).

    4. A full-time resident of Chatham, Effingham, Bryan, or Liberty County (GA).

    5. Preference will be given to candidates demonstrating a firm commitment to begin their professional career in pediatric nursing, or as a nurse within one of the five branches of the United States Military.




    Kemira Pigments, Inc. Fund

    The Kemira Pigments Inc. Scholarship Fund in Chemistry provides support for deserving students majoring in chemistry at Armstrong State University.


    Lancy C. Jen Computer Science

    The Laney C. Jen Computer Science Scholarship Fund provides financial support for outstanding and gifted students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be majoring in computer science.

    2. Demonstrate accomplishment in computer science endeavors.

    3. Have maintained a minimum of a B average in all university level computer science courses.

    4. Show financial need.




    Lancy C. Jen Math Scholarship

    The Laney C. Jen Mathematics Scholarship Fund provides financial support for outstanding and gifted students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be majoring in mathematics.

    2. Demonstrate accomplishment in mathematical endeavors.

    3. Have maintained a minimum of a B average in all university level math courses.

    4. Show financial need.




    Leslie Strozier Memorial Scholarship

    The Leslie Adele Strozier Memorial Scholarship Fund is used to provide financial support for female students majoring in mathematics. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a female majoring in math.

    2. Must maintain a 3.2 GPA.




    Lillian A. Hood Scholarship

    The Lillian A. Hood Scholarship is used to provide support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University studying economics. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior in good academic standing.

    2. Proven performance and/or support for a competitive economics team.

    3. Have a minimum GPA of at least 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.

    4. Must be a full time student.




    Lt. Col. (Ret.) Mary Witt Wexler, USAF Nurse Corps Memorial

    The Lt. Col. (Ret.) Mary Witt Wexler, USAF Nurse Corps Memorial Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled in the Nursing Program at Armstrong State University.


    Lucille and Leroy Suddath Memorial Scholarship

    The Lucille and Leroy Suddath Memorial Scholarship awards financial support to students in the Armstrong State University Honors Program. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

    :

    1. Must be enrolled in the Honors Program at Armstrong State University.

    2. High school students must be approved for admission into the Honors Program.

    3. Have a minimum  high school or college GPA of 3.2.

    4. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1100.



    Margaret L. Bailey Scholarship in Nursing

    The Margaret L. Bailey Memorial Scholarship in Nursing Fund is used to create scholarships for nursing students at Armstrong State University.


    Margaret Mary Brown Parker and Pamela E. Parker Honors Scholarship

    The Margaret Mary Brown Parker  and Pamela E. Parker Honors Scholarship Fund is used to provide financial support to students in the Honors Program at Armstrong State University.


    Mark C. Clayton-Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship

    The Mark C. Clayton-Kappa Alpha Psi Scholarship provides support to African-American students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Citizen of the United States

    2. Junior class standing.

    3. Minimum G.P.A. of 3.0

    4. Demonstrate the highest levels of character and service.



    Martha W. and Louis E. Aenchbacher Scholarship

    The Martha W. and Louis E. Aenchbacher Scholarship provides a scholarship to a student of Armstrong State University enrolled in the College of Education. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a full time undergraduate student with Georgia residency.

    2. Must be in their junior year.

    3. Have a declared major within the College of Education.

    4. Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.




    Mary Ann and J.B. McDowell Honors Leadership Scholarship

    The Mary Ann and J.B. McDowell Honors Leadership Scholarship provides support to students enrolled in the Armstrong State University Honors Program. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Enrolled in the Honors Program at Armstrong State University OR as high school students, must be approved for admission to the Honors Program.

    2. Minimum G.P.A. of 3.2

    3. Entering freshmen must have an SAT score of at least 1100.

    4. Consideration will also be given to the degree of involvement in school and community activities.



    Mary Foy Space Scholarship for Economics

    The Mary Foy Space Scholarship for Economics provides scholarships to deserving students enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a female student enrolled at Armstrong State University.

    2. Have earned at least 60 credit hours at time of award (junior or senior class standing), but does not possess a Bachelor of Science/Art or equivalent from any accredited university.

    3. Declared major in Economics or Business Economics.




    Melaver Family Scholarship

    The Melaver Family Scholarship Fund provides support for the university’s general scholarship program. Recipients of the Melaver Family Scholarship Fund are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Michael J and Marion DeFrank Gannam Scholarship

    The Michael J and Marion DeFrank Gannam Scholarship Fund is used to provide support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Michelle Gignilliat Harvey Memorial Scholarship

    The Michelle Gignilliat Harvey Memorial Scholarship provides support for deserving students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be of junior or senior standing.

    2. Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education.

    3. Have unmet financial need.




    Morris Slotin Memorial Scholarship

    The Morris Slotin Memorial Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled in the Armstrong State University Doctor of Physical Therapy program, and who are entering the field of physical therapy as a second career. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be enrolled in the Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Armstrong State University.

    2. Demonstrate outstanding performance in the academic and clinical curriculum.




    Neva Lee Hargest Music Scholarship

    The Neva Lee Hargest Music Scholarship serves to award scholarships to students at Armstrong State University majoring in music. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Recipient must be an American citizen.

    2. Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in the department of music.




    Nick and Anna Mamalakis Scholarship

    The Nick and Anna Mamalakis Scholarship Fund is used to pride support for the university’s General Scholarship Fund. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Nick Mamalakis Emerging Leaders Fund

    The Nick Mamalakis Emerging Leaders Fund provides financial support for students who have completed the Nick Mamalakis Emerging Leaders Program (NMELP). Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Completion of the NMELP program.

    2. Completion of a leadership service project within the academic year the student participated in the NMELP.

    3. Good standing both in academics and in character.




    Oscar M. Hansen Scholarship

    The Oscar M. Hansen Scholarship Fund is used to provide support to the university’s General Scholarship Fund. Recipients are selected by the Office of Admissions.

     



    Pathways Scholarship

    The Pathways Scholarship provides support for students, primarily minorities, who have enrolled at Armstrong State University in the field of teacher education. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be enrolled in the teacher education program at Armstrong State University.

    2. Demonstrate financial need.




    Patricia S. Reese Scholarship

    The Patricia S. Reese Scholarship serves to provide support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University and that work full time while taking classes in pursuit of a degree.


    Phyllis R. Schmidt Scholarship

    The Phyllis R. Schmidt Scholarship provides support for students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University in the College of Health Professions. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be accepted into a program within the College of Health Professions.

    2. Have a college GPA of 3.0.

    3. Recipients must be registering for their junior or senior year.




    Publix Scholarship

    Publix Super Markets Charities created this endowed scholarship fund to support students at Armstrong State University. Awarded by the Office of Admissions.


    RASCI Scholarship Fund - Reading & Speech Comm

    The RASCI Scholarship Fund provides support for deserving students of Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Applicant must be a graduate of RASCI

    2. Applicant must be a Teacher Education Major




    Robert A. Burnett Endowed Scholarship

    The Robert A. Burnett Endowed Scholarship is used to provide financial assistance to students enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
     
    1. Have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0.




    Robert A. Kolodny Memorial Scholarship

    The Robert A. Kolodny Memorial Scholarship Fund serves to provide support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University majoring in chemistry or applied physics. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a full-time student with a declared major in chemistry or applied physics.

    2. Must have completed CHEM 1211 and CHEM 1212, or PHYS 2211 and PHYS 2212 with labs, with a grade of B or better.

    3. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better.




    Robert E. Lee Morgan Endowed Scholarship

    The Robert E. Lee Morgan Endowed Scholarship fund provides financial assistance to undergraduate students of Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a rising junior or rising senior.

    2. Must be enrolled in the Business Economics, or Economics degree program.

    3. Demonstrated ability in the area of accounting.




    Sam and Lilla Varnedoe Art Scholarship

    The Sam and Lilla Varnedoe Art Scholarship provides support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University in the visual arts program. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Be a current or incoming full-time visual art major and have declared their major prior to applying for the scholarship.

    2. Maintain full-time status as a visual art major during the year of the award.



    Savannah News/Press Scholarship

    The Savannah News/Press Scholarship Fund is used to provide support to the university’s general scholarship program. Recipients of the Savannah News/Press Scholarship are selected by the Office of Admissions.


    Savannah Winds Initiative Endowed Scholarship

    The Savannah Winds Initiative Endowed Scholarship provides support for students enrolled at Armstrong State University who are majoring or minoring in music. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be a full time Armstrong student in good academic standing.

    2. Must be enrolled as a music major or minor.

    3. Must have performed with, or must be scheduled to perform with, Savannah Winds for at least one semester.




    SGT William Mooren and SGT Michael Mooren Scholarship

    The SGT William Mooren and SGT Michael Mooren Scholarship serves to provide assistance to Armstrong State University undergraduate students with significant unmet financial need. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:
     
    1. Enrolled as an undergraduate student

    2. Significant unmet financial need




    Sprague and Jane Exley Scholarship

    The Sprague and Jane Exley Scholarship provides financial support to students pursuing a music or music education degree with a focus in percussion. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be accepted in the music program.

    2. Be pursuing a music or music education degree with a focus in percussion.

    3. Have a GPA of 3.0 or greater based on academic core courses.

    4. Freshmen must have a high school GPA of 3.0.

    5. Student must demonstrate intent to succeed.




    Steve Rhee Scholarship Fund

    The Steve Rhee Scholarship Fund provides support for deserving students who are enrolled at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Undergraduate student majoring in Political Science.

    2. Have completed at least 70 semester hours of undergraduate coursework.

    3. Minimum G.P.A. of 3.0

    4. Have demonstrated meritorious and exemplary leadership in promoting the understanding of the operations of the government of the United States; possess a broad-based understanding of the international affairs of the United States in the twenty-first century.

    5. Have completed one year of coursework in a foreign language with a grade of B or better.



    The Frank and Ruth Barragan Leadership Fund

    The Frank and Ruth Barragan Leadership Fund provides support for deserving undergraduate and graduate students who are degree seeking students enrolled full time at Armstrong State University.


    Theron A. Grant Memorial Scholarship

    The Theron A. Grant Memorial Scholarship provides support for deserving students attending Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Financial need

    2. Declared major within the College of Health Professions

    3. Good scholarship potential and/or ability



    Thomas Spencer McCormick Scholarship

    The Thomas Spencer McCormick Presidential Scholarship provides financial support for tuition to graduate students in the field of Communicative Disorders at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. The graduate students should demonstrate outstanding potential for his/her chosen field. Both academic and clinical skills are to be considered.

    2. The students’ clinic supervisor and/or professor should submit letter(s) of recommendation documenting clinical skill/potential.

    3. Have a minimum GPA of 3.00.

    4. Student can be a current member of the graduate program or an entering student.




    William Duncan and Dorothy Persse Prescott Scholarship

    The William and Dorothy Persse Prescott Scholarship provides support for students who graduated from The Benedictine military School of Savannah, Georgia. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Must be enrolled in Armstrong State University, or as high school students, must be approved for admission to Armstrong.

    2. Have a high school grade point average that makes them eligible for the Georgia HOPE program.

    3. Must be a graduate of Benedictine Military School of Savannah, Georgia or a graduating senior of Benedictine Military School that has been accepted by Armstrong.  




    William W. Stokes Scholarship

    The William W. Stokes Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to deserving nontraditional students. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     
    1. Did not immediately attend college following high school graduation or had an interruption in their academic career.

    2. Preference given to students enrolled in the College of Education.

     


    Winifred Case Karnosky Nursing Scholarship Endowment

    The Winifred Case Karnosky Nursing Scholarship is used to provide support for students who are enrolled in the School of Nursing at Armstrong State University. Applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

     

    1. Be enrolled in the School of Nursing at Armstrong State University

    2. Be a U.S. citizen.
